Investing is only one component of the Family Plan, though certainly an important one.
 We believe that proper investment policies and asset allocation can be designed only after the initial financial planning process is complete and a target rate of return is established.
 We allocate all client assets among major asset classes: cash, bonds, and stocks. These major asset classes are then subdivided into companies located in the United States and those domiciled internationally. We further subdivide these major classes by separating investments by the size of the company being purchased.
 For example, large companies such as GE, Merck, and PG, versus smaller companies such as Medtronic. We also divide the stock portfolio into both growth and
